Hiking, Cycling and Scootering
The area is ideal for hiking, cycling, and scootering. You can find various hiking and cycling routes in the area on the Wikiloc and Komoot apps. You can rent bikes and scooters from Paleros Travel and Lucky's Rentals.
Swimming
It's wonderful to go swimming when the weather is nice, and there are plenty of opportunities for that in the immediate vicinity of Pogoniá!
You can go swimming at Potamaki Beach, which has the following beach bars: Ammos All Day Beach Bar, Rio de Paleiro Beach Bar, Aloha Beach Bar, Taverna Kavos, Taverna Paralia.
There's also a beautiful beach with crystal-clear water at the Vathiavali Beach Bar.
Rent a boat
If you'd like to sail your own boat, there are plenty of options for renting one in the harbor of Paleros. You can sail to Lefkada, Meganisi, Kalamos, but also to Ithaca and Kefalonia. Motorboats and sailboats are available for rent from: Alsalos Boats, Paleros Travel, Kanellos Rent, and Odysseus Yachting.
Dolphins Cruise
This tour of the Amvrakikos Gulf includes a tour of the ecological and historical elements of the ecosystem and the wider area, observation of the wildlife of the Amvrakikos and for the most part, the dolphins and the Caretta-Caretta turtles. Following is a stop for bathing and serving freshly cooked meal, which includes mainly local and seafood dishes accompanied by a cool refreshment or drink under the bright Greek sun.
