Where to go to in the area

Pogoniá

Our villas are all located in the beautiful, authentic village of Pogoniá. It's a small, peaceful fishing village directly on the Ionian See with a few restaurants and tavernas. Pogoniá is located opposite the east coast of the island of Lefkada. It is 31 km from Preveza Airport.

It is a traditional and peaceful settlement with characteristic houses and beautiful beaches nearby, such as Vathiavali Beach and Potamaki Beach.

The mountains in the background and the green surroundings also contribute to Pogoniá’s beautiful appearance.

Paleros

The village of Paleros is 5 km from Pogoniá and is a slightly larger town with more restaurants, tavernas, bars, and a larger harbor. It's a charming town with a pleasant village square and plenty of entertainment for your holiday.

Old Plagia

Old Plagia in Aetolia-Acarnania offers a unique experience for those exploring the natural beauty of western Greece, whether in the mountains or along the Ionian coast.

The village, now abandoned, stands amidst natural splendor that peaks in spring, with blooming almond trees and other native plants highlighting the distinct atmosphere of the ruined buildings. The major earthquake of 1966 and the subsequent storms caused significant damage, forcing residents to temporarily leave. Although there was an attempt to return around 1970, the government ban on tobacco cultivation ultimately led to the permanent abandonment of the village and the relocation of its residents to present-day Plagia at “Kastrí.”

Mytikas

Mytikas is a beautiful village south of Paleros. The coastal road from Paleros to Mytikas is stunning, with consistently stunning views of the Ionian Sea and the island of Lefkada. When visiting Mytikas, the small fish restaurant Faros is a must-see.

Vonitsa

Vonitsa is a town located 18 km from Pogoniá on the Ambracian Gulf. It has a harbor and a Venetian fortress on a hill. Definitely worth a visit.

Lefkada

Lefkada is the capital of the island of Lefkada and a beautiful city to explore. The island is connected by a pontoon bridge and easily accessible by car. Lefkada Town has a pleasant shopping street with charming shops.

The island boasts many charming villages and beautiful beaches with stunning blue seas. Recommended destinations include:

Agios Nikitas                Agios Ioannis Beach

Kathisma Beach            Gialos Beach

Porto Katsiki                  Egkremni Beach

Vasiliki                            Sivota

Karya                              Sivros

Preveza

Preveza is a town situated at the mouth of the Ambracian Gulf, known for its blend of history and natural beauty. The town boasts a picturesque harbor, a charming old town with Venetian architecture, and is a major travel hub, thanks in part to its proximity to Aktion National Airport. Major attractions in the area include the ancient city of Nicopolis and the Nekromanteion, an ancient oracle.

Parga

Parga is a picturesque coastal town in northwestern Greece (Epirus), known for its colorful houses, Venetian castle, and stunning natural surroundings. Visitors can stroll through narrow streets, soak up the atmosphere on the promenade, and take boat trips to nearby islands or beaches like Valtos and Lichnos. The hinterland offers opportunities for excursions to authentic villages and the mythical Acheron River.

Arta, Ioannina, Agrinio, Mesolongi

There are several charming places in the region that are definitely worth a visit. You can find more information about the descriptions of these places online.

Meteora

Meteora in central Greece is famous for its impressive rock formations, on which six of the original 24 Orthodox monasteries were built. The area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known for its unique landscape, created by river and wind erosion. You can visit the monasteries by car, via a circular road of approximately 14 kilometers, or with organized tours.

It is truly spectacular to see this wonder of the world live!

Corfu or Kefalonia

Another option is a visit to the islands of Corfu or Kefalonia.

Both are easily accessible by boat from Lefkada and Igoumenitsa, perfect for a multi-day visit to the beautiful green islands of the Ionian Sea.
